		<description>You are factually incurate. Ewart Oakes was fundamental in selling Clarice&#039;s patterns that he had to push as she was having an affair with Colley Shorter. It was garrish and against the usual fair that my Grandfather had made a living out of selling, long before CC came along. It was only down to his salesmanship that it became popular. I know this as he was my Grandfather, Colley Shorter&#039;s best salesman and CC&#039;s confident of which there are letters from her to him concerning the affair.
