Adalucia Quan was born in Lima, Peru. Her love for ceramics started very early in life. As a child, her dad would take her to museums in Lima. In school, she studied all about the ancient art of the Andes. She was fascinated with the clay artifacts and textiles of the pre-Inca cultures.

Adalucia is a clay artist and illustrator. She studied Art and Modern Languages at Florida International University, Miami, Florida. Adalucia has been working with clay for the past twelve years. Her pieces have been exhibited in galleries throughout the USA. She has published five bilingual (Spanish-English) coloring books for children. This is her first book about ceramics.

Adalucia lives with her family in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. She works with clay almost every day.
